The Aeronautics adventure drama describes a hot air balloon flight that actually took place on September 5, 1862. In fact, James Glacier and Henry Coxwell took to the airplane, replaced by a fictional female character who combined the traits of several real-life women who were passionate about flying. The prototypes include protagonist Sophie Blanchard, Margaret Graham and Amelie Earhart. Each woman made a significant contribution to the development of the industry.
