“The lion king”, by Jon Favreau, is a copy of the 1994 homonymous film by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, the quality of the current version is evident. Favreau’s version is blessed by a quantum breakthrough in animation technology known as photorealistic computer animation that eliminates the illusion of artifice in favor of making subjects very real. You may be able to distinguish between the animals photographed in the Serengeti and the same beings in which real animals are not used (or damaged), but the eight-year-old boy who takes you to the “Lion King” will be surprised at the naturalness of everything what the child can see.
