Becoming Led Zeppelin 2025: Mostly targeted at fans, Becoming Led Zeppelin is a documentary on the history of the greatest rock band ever. As the title suggests, director Bernard MacMahon restricts his investigation to the band’s beginnings. Jimmy Page is portrayed as the band’s founder and leader in this movie. In the past, he and Jeff Beck played guitar together in The Yardbirds. Following the disbandment of that group in 1968, Page was the sole proprietor of the band’s name and needed to quickly form a new group to fulfill existing performance commitments. Robert Plant, known for his powerful voice and passion, was recruited from his former band, Hobbstweedle, at the suggestion of John Paul Jones, who encouraged Page to audition him.
