Another film version of the 1980s television series,”The Equaliser,” was directed by Anthony Fuqua, who was tasked with creating a story that is both horrifying and distinctive for the brand of revenge which bore little resemblance to the networking that Fuqua struggled to find his cheap thrills, overkill and soon turned to abstraction. A 2018 sequel followed, offering more of the same, and causing Fuqua to once again turn his action effort into a mock trip to the Gore Zone, aided by the meandering history he claims to have been away for a while, however Robert McCall and his cold, dead serious “ The Equalizer returns 3”, and while Fuqua leaves no open scars behind him, he is newly involved in a somewhat close domestic dysfunction case, and gives One Man the Army a much stronger reason to kill in a film that succeeds when it has the courage to attempt dramatic simplicity, of revenge It makes for a much more exciting ride.
